April Ursula Fox, Ph.D., serves as Research Development Lead Specialist in the College of Education’s Office of Research and Sponsored Projects. She works with faculty and research teams across the research development process, helping move ideas from early concepts toward strong, competitive sponsored projects.

Her work includes research strategy and planning, funding opportunity identification, project conceptualization, collaborative team development, proposal development and review, grant writing support, and research development training. She has contributed to the development and support of more than $50 million in funded research, scholarship, and service projects across the College of Education.

April holds a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology and an Advanced Graduate Certificate in Mixed Methods Research, providing a strong research and methodological foundation for her work with investigators and project teams. Faculty and partners are encouraged to connect with her to explore research ideas, funding opportunities, proposal development, and potential collaborations.
